KDC Database Compatibility

• Importing and exporting the principal database

• kdb5_util - utility for dumping and loading db

  • 4 DB formats supported:
    • Version 4 (beta 7 and later) - DEFAULT
    • Version 3 (beta 6)
    • Version 2 (beta 5 and earlier)
    • Ovsec-adm-export - OpenVision format

• SEAM and MIT both support all 4 formats

• Microsoft does not support any of these.
